Top Indicators It’s Time to Get Your Carpet Cleaned

You know it’s time to get your carpets cleaned when you experience these telltale signs.  Basically, these signs are your carpets speaking to you directly about their cleanliness!

Top 7 Indicators It’s Time For A Deep Clean:

  1. AAAAHHHH-CHOOO! tends to be a common theme in your house lately.  Your family and guests are sneezing more and more when they are in your house.  Why?  Your carpet is trapping allergens!  Professional strength cleaning will help to power out allergens and irritants
  2. You are playing the game “What’s That Smell?” more often than you would like to.  Dirty carpeting can hold on to odors.  When that happens, it is hard to get rid of the odors.  A professional carpet cleaning can help to refresh and deodorize your home.
  3. Your carpeting has more traffic patterns than the Veteran’s Expressway.  There seems to be a dark trail of foot traffic meandering through your home.  This means dirt and grime is present in your carpet’s fibers.
  4. Stains a plenty!  Do you see more spots and stains than you remember?  Even after you have done almost everything to remove them?  It’s time to call in the professionals to work on what just won’t come out.
  5. What color is that anyway?  Is it getting more an more difficult to recognize your carpet’s original color even after multiple attempts of vacuuming?  Another telltale sign that dirt has invaded carpet fibers. It’s gotten in so deep that standard household machines can no longer to the trick.
  6. Is it time to re-name your carpet Matt?  You know what we’re talking about.  The fibers are no longer long and fluffy, but, short and, well, matted!  Don’t ignore the matted finish.  Call in the professionals before its too late!  The more your fibers stay matted, the more damage is done.
  7. Mold and mildew is present.  It has been a hot and rainy summer so far in Tampa!  These types of conditions are the perfect breeding ground for mold and mildew.  Don’t let that happen to your carpet.  Ask us how we can help prevent damage caused by mold and mildew.

Complete Care Systems Now Offers Hot Water Extraction Carpet Cleaning!

CCS Wednesday 8 10 16 Canva (1)This month was an exciting month for Complete Care Systems as we welcomed a NEW and exciting service to our business.  Effective during the month of August 2016, Complete Care Systems now offers hot water extraction carpet cleaning.

Let’s face it, carpets can take a beating.  Regardless of whether the carpeting is in your home or business, it can come in contact with soils, dirt, stains, dust mites, bacteria, pet dander, grease and the list goes on.

Great news!  Complete Care Systems can power out all the dirt and grime!  AND…we have more than one way to do it!

Our Methods:

Low Moisture Encapsulation Cleaning:

This method of cleaning uses low moisture.  So low that each gallon of diluted detergent can clean about 300 square feet of carpet.  That means, carpet dries quickly!  In just a couple of hours.

This method of cleaning includes a scrubbing step where a rotary machine scrubs the carpet releasing any soils attached to the carpet fiber and deposits it into the encapsulation solution.  The encapsulation solution is comprised of a crystalizing polymer that “encapsulates” the soil.  After the carpet dries, the encapsulated soil can be extracted during the vacuuming process.

Benefits:

  • Fast cleaning rates of 2,000 to 3,000 square feet per hour can be accomplished
  • Carpet dries quickly
  • Wicking and recurring stains can be eliminated
  • Carpets stay cleaner over a longer period of time
  • Extends the life of the carpet
  • There is no sticky detergent residue that can attract soil is left behind
  • The encapsulation polymer detergent resists soil
  • Environmentally friendly

Hot Water Extraction Cleaning:
CCS Wednesday 8 17 16This method has the ability to flush a large amount of water through the carpet, making it a very effective way to rinse carpeting.

This type of carpet cleaning injects water through the carpeting using spray jets.  Immediately following the spray process, the water is effectively removed through vacuuming.  To make the process even more effective, a powerful spray detergent is applied first.  Add in some agitation and you have powerful cleansing system.  After the carpeting as been cleaned with detergent, the carpet is then rinsed by using hot water extraction.

Benefits:

  • The large volume of water used in hot water extraction makes it possible to remove a large amount of soil
  • Provides a deeper cleaning due to the water injection process it uses
  • The power of the water injection effectively removes debris, odor, soil and germs

In some instances it is suggested that carpet cleanings should alternate between hot water extraction and encapsulation carpet cleaning.  This type of protocol provides the most thorough cleaning process.  The encapsulation cleaning process removed the sticky detergent residue left behind by the hot water extraction process.

Ceramic Tile! Why It’s A Florida Favorite!

Today we have SO many options when it comes to decorating our homes.  Flooring is one of the BIGGEST ways we can impact our home’s look, feel and sense of style!

CCS 7 30 15 CANVA-3It is not unusual for homes in Florida to be wall to wall tile.  In the summertime when temperatures are well above 90 degrees and the humidity is unbearable, we welcome the coolness of ceramic tile under our feet.  It also helps keep our homes cooler during the summer months.

Other reasons why we love tile in Florida is because it is:

  • Extremely durable!  No other flooring textile or material can match what ceramic tile can tolerate and maintain its appearance.  Tile flooring durability even includes scratches since many tile options are scratch resistant
  • Water resistant!  This feature makes tile a popular option in kitchens, bathrooms and pool bathrooms where water and other liquids are prevalent.  Ceramic tile does trap, collect moisture or sustain damage like other flooring options might
  • Easy to clean & keep clean!  Especially if you have glazed tile!  Glazed is resistant to stains, odors, dirt and grime.  There is no need for special cleansers either.  General household cleaners, a sponge or a mop will to the trick!
  • Cuts down on ALLERGENS!  That’s right!  There is nowhere for the allergens to hide and cause havoc.  Allergens are easily vacuumed up or banished with the swish of a mop!

CCS 9 30 15 CANVAWhen shopping for tile to use in your home there is some general knowledge you should know about tile before you buy.  These general pieces of information will help you purchase the ideal type of tile for your home.

Tile Finish Options –

There are three main finishes that you will be selecting from:

  • Matte
  • Satin
  • High gloss

To get an idea of how clean you tile will look based on the finish, imagine foot prints caused by shoes.  The higher the gloss level, the more pronounced the footprint.  It is common to find high gloss tile in rooms or areas that do not get a lot of heavy traffic like bathrooms.  A matte or satin finish may be more common in a front foyer or hallway.

Wear Rating –

Most manufacturers rank their tile using a P.E.I. rating with stands for Porcelain Enamel Institute.  There are 5 groups or ratings tile can fall into.

They are:

Rating 1:
Tiles are mainly used for residential/commercial walls and are not suitable or recommended for foot traffic

Rating 2:
This group of tile type is perfect for general light residential traffic, except kitchens, entrance halls, and other areas subjected to continuous foot traffic.

Rating 3:
Tiles are intended all residential and light commercial areas such as offices, reception areas and boutiques.

Rating 4:
This class of tiles is ideal for residential, medium commercial and light institutional venues such as restaurants, hotels, hospital lobbies and corridors.

Rating 5:
Tiles suitable for heavy traffic both residential and heavy commercial applications such airports, malls and subways.

Tips and Tricks: Tile and Grout Cleaning

Image

Everyone want their tile and grout to look nice all year round, but not many actually look nice. Why is this? We scrub at them a couple times a week and they still have films or stains. Lets explore the reasons why our tiles do not always look their best.

1. Over time the dirt starts to cling to your tiles, especially in high traffic areas. This will start to age them slowly over time, which makes them start to look worse and worse the longer you have tiles.

2. The type of cleaner you buy plays a big roles in how your tiles look and feel. Most low end cleaners eventually leave a film (quite possibly a sticky film) that nobody wants in their home.

3. Take a good look at your grout lines. Most likely you will see small holes or cracks. These are the breeding ground for mold and bacteria. The mold and bacteria grow at a steady pace and could cause your whole family to become sick. Depending on the temperature in the room depends how fast the mold and bacteria will grow, but either way you do not want those silent killers in your home.

These three problems could easily be fixed with a yearly call to your local cleaning expert. If you live in the Tampa Bay Area then Complete Care Systems can help you with all of your tile and grout cleaning needs. We not only clean, but we also replace grout, color grout, and seal tile and grout.

HELPFUL HINT: In between yearly cleanings from a professional you will want to clean your tile and grout at least once a week. You will want to use a product that is mid range in price because it will not leave the unwanted residue that the other cleaners will leave. Just remember that after you use any product to rinse the floor with clean water to get any excess dirty up and to help take the harsh chemical off of the floor that you do not want your family to touch!

Tips and Tricks: Upholstery Cleaning

Image

Upholstery cleaning is something that Complete Care Systems loves to do! It is one of the major things that keeps your home happy and healthy. Why is that you ask? Well here are four reasons why this is one of the best things you could do for your home.

1. Appearance of your furniture. Nobody wants their upholstery to look dingy, gross, or worn down. The dirt in your upholstery makes your furniture look awful. Upholstery cleaning keeps your furniture looking nicer for a longer period of time, especially if it is new.

2. Extended wear on your furniture. Most people I know cannot afford to buy new furniture all the time, nor do they want to. Upholstery cleaning can help with the wear on your furniture by taking out all of the dirt and grime; making your furniture hold up through all of life’s adventures.

3. Family’s health. We love talking about how to be healthy in the comfort of your home! What stinks is that if you do not clean your upholstery your family’s health could be at risk. Think about what you do on your couch. From eating to sitting on it after a workout; your upholstery has a lot of bacteria in it from our everyday lives, which could cause your family to become sick. Did you ever think your kids could be getting sick from you and not from their friends? Yea, we didn’t either,

4.Good air quality. We all have excuses for why our air isn’t the cleanest. “We don’t have time to pay attention or the money for the machines” is something I always hear. Well did you know upholstery cleaning could help with the air quality in your home? Mold, dust, mildew, and even other allergens can live in your dirty upholstery. Getting it cleaned at least once a year can help your family breathe better.

As you can see upholstery cleaning has a lot of benefits to make your home happy and healthy. Call Complete Care Systems for all of your upholstery cleaning needs!
