Breathe Easier

As you probably already know, your home can be a HUGE trap for allergens!  But, there is a way to help reduce allergens and help you breathe easier.

Carpet

One of the biggest allergen traps and air filters in your home is your carpeting!  Carpeting can harbor irritants like dust mites, mold, mildew and fungi.  There is no need to suffer!  You can begin to breathe easier with proper and regular carpet cleaning.  Put it on your schedule to run the vacuum at the very least, one time per week to get the surface allergens up and out of your home.  For a deeper clean, have your carpeting professionally cleaned every 6 to 12 months.  Both the hot water extraction method and the low moisture encapsulation method are very effective for removing common allergens found in your home.

Upholstery

Your favorite easy chair may not be making it easy for you to breathe!  The upholstery in your furniture can trap allergens and dust mites just as easy as carpeting can.  Be proactive.  Vacuum your upholstered furniture to help remove what is clogging up your breathing.  Consider having your upholstery professionally cleaned for removal of allergens.  Our low moisture encapsulation method might be the best deep cleaning solution for your upholstered furniture and to help you get rid of allergens

Mattresses

Start sleeping better at night.  Mattresses can also harbor dust mites and allergens.  Combat them by having your mattresses deep cleaned and specially treated to protect against dust mites.  Ask our technicians how we treat mattresses to keep the allergens away!

Tips and Tricks: Carpet Cleaning and the Right Company

Today we are covering carpets…get it covering…carpets…haha….ok ok I won’t quit my day job.

Seriously though we use a method of carpet cleaning that is called low moisture encapsulation cleaning.

Low moisture is very important especially in the state of Florida where high humidity is a breeding ground for mold and mildew. Did you know that mildew can start to grow within 4 hours of having a wet carpet? With our carpet cleaning system that is never a worry! Generally, you can immediately walk on the carpets once we leave because they are only left damp. They are fully dry within a couple of hours.

There are a number of reasons we love our system let me give you just a few:

*Encapsulation cleaning uses MINIMAL water (Ten Times Less than Hot Water Extraction)

*Dries quickly

*Reduces the chance of wicking (stain coming back)

*Carpet Lasts Longer

*Safe for You, Your Children, Pets, Customers, Employees, etc.

*Carpet Smells Fresher, Longer

*Environmentally-Friendly

And here are a few more reasons:

*No Air Pollution

*No Noise Pollution

*No Water Pollution

*No Risk of Mold or Mildew

*No Sticky Residue

*No Hoses

*No Open Doors

No matter how great a carpet cleaning system is without a properly trained technician your carpets will not be cleaned the right way. You will never have to worry with Complete Care Systems we have over 20 years of experience in the industry. You will never have a technician at your home that has not been fully trained on spot removal and the technology we use to clean your carpet.

Regardless what company you choose to use to have your carpets cleaned be sure they are licensed, insured, and background checked. You can never be too careful when it comes to keeping your family safe. We use a service called asktheseal.com to background check our employees. We can’t pay them to say we are a safe company they check on a consistent basis to be sure our licenses are up to date and that we have current background checks.

One last way to be sure a company is reputable is to check their reviews. We received the Angie’s List Super Service Award this year and are planning on doing it again next year. We are also background checked by Angie’s List. So you can be doubly sure we are a reputable company.

Complete Care Systems services residential and commercial clients in Pasco, Pinellas, most of Hillsborough and parts of Hernando Counties. Our services include carpet, upholstery, tile and grout cleaning. Grout sealing, tile and grout repair, grout coloring and leather cleaning. Tips and Tricks: Dust Mites

Image

Allergies are the number one reason why people suffer all year long; my family included. I cannot tell you how many allergy medications and sinus medications are in our kitchen cabinet for easy access. Our allergies have lessened since we learned about the effects of dust mites.

Dust mites are small arachnids that feed on skin cells. Personally, these might be worse than spiders and I am terrified of spiders. If your dust mite problem is big (like most home owners) they can produce allergens. You cannot fully get rid of your dust mite problem, but you can help lessen it with some of these helpful tips and tricks!

6. Remove all of the bedding in your house. Your bedrooms are the number one breeding ground for dust mites. You want to wash it in hot water (over 130 degrees Fahrenheit/54 degrees Celsius). After washing you will want to dry your bedding in a hot dryer; this will kill the duty mites that lived through the washing cycle. I would also consider covering your mattress, mattress pad, and pillows with allergenic covers. Use the plastic option if possible since dust mites cannot live in plastic.

5. Buy a vacuum with a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter. This type of vacuum will actually pick up dust mite waste and eggs, while other types of vacuums will not. You will want to vacuum all areas of carpet several times a week depending on how many people live in your house and how many pets you have.

4. Learn about humidity levels. Certain places have high humidity and dust mites thrive in high humidity places. To help with this problem you will want to buy a dehumidifier and set it to less than 50 percent. At 35 percent dust mites will propagate less, but some people do not like humidity that low. Set it to what is comfortable for you and your family.

3. If your kids have bad allergies chances are their stuffed animals are a major cause. Dust mites love any sort of fabric. They also thrive in dirty places and lets face it our kids are not the cleanest. Take their stuffed animals and place them in a plastic bag. You will want to get out as much air as possible, making the bag as small as possible. Place them in the freezer for 48 hours. This can kill the dust mites.

2. Animals are the worst when it comes to dust mites. They just LOVE the pet dander. There are a few things you can do to help this problem. Brush your dog frequently. Brush with the hair and against the hair to get rid of the pet dander. You can also wipe your pet down with damp washcloth when they come inside. This will get rid of the dander as well. Vacuum areas where your pet likes to hang out frequently. Those are the places dust mites will hang out the most. Finally, keep your pets out of your room. I know we all like to cuddle with our dogs or cats, but they add more to the dust mite problem. The more humans and animals that are in the bedroom the more dust mite there will be.

1.The number one thing you can do is get your carpets cleaned by a professional. Most families can do this about once a year, however, if you have a lot of animals you may want to get them done twice a year.

For all of your carpet cleaning needs make sure you check our Complete Care Systems.
