Top Indicators It’s Time to Get Your Carpet Cleaned

You know it’s time to get your carpets cleaned when you experience these telltale signs.  Basically, these signs are your carpets speaking to you directly about their cleanliness!

Top 7 Indicators It’s Time For A Deep Clean:

  1. AAAAHHHH-CHOOO! tends to be a common theme in your house lately.  Your family and guests are sneezing more and more when they are in your house.  Why?  Your carpet is trapping allergens!  Professional strength cleaning will help to power out allergens and irritants
  2. You are playing the game “What’s That Smell?” more often than you would like to.  Dirty carpeting can hold on to odors.  When that happens, it is hard to get rid of the odors.  A professional carpet cleaning can help to refresh and deodorize your home.
  3. Your carpeting has more traffic patterns than the Veteran’s Expressway.  There seems to be a dark trail of foot traffic meandering through your home.  This means dirt and grime is present in your carpet’s fibers.
  4. Stains a plenty!  Do you see more spots and stains than you remember?  Even after you have done almost everything to remove them?  It’s time to call in the professionals to work on what just won’t come out.
  5. What color is that anyway?  Is it getting more an more difficult to recognize your carpet’s original color even after multiple attempts of vacuuming?  Another telltale sign that dirt has invaded carpet fibers. It’s gotten in so deep that standard household machines can no longer to the trick.
  6. Is it time to re-name your carpet Matt?  You know what we’re talking about.  The fibers are no longer long and fluffy, but, short and, well, matted!  Don’t ignore the matted finish.  Call in the professionals before its too late!  The more your fibers stay matted, the more damage is done.
  7. Mold and mildew is present.  It has been a hot and rainy summer so far in Tampa!  These types of conditions are the perfect breeding ground for mold and mildew.  Don’t let that happen to your carpet.  Ask us how we can help prevent damage caused by mold and mildew.

Breathe Easier

As you probably already know, your home can be a HUGE trap for allergens!  But, there is a way to help reduce allergens and help you breathe easier.

Carpet

One of the biggest allergen traps and air filters in your home is your carpeting!  Carpeting can harbor irritants like dust mites, mold, mildew and fungi.  There is no need to suffer!  You can begin to breathe easier with proper and regular carpet cleaning.  Put it on your schedule to run the vacuum at the very least, one time per week to get the surface allergens up and out of your home.  For a deeper clean, have your carpeting professionally cleaned every 6 to 12 months.  Both the hot water extraction method and the low moisture encapsulation method are very effective for removing common allergens found in your home.

Upholstery

Your favorite easy chair may not be making it easy for you to breathe!  The upholstery in your furniture can trap allergens and dust mites just as easy as carpeting can.  Be proactive.  Vacuum your upholstered furniture to help remove what is clogging up your breathing.  Consider having your upholstery professionally cleaned for removal of allergens.  Our low moisture encapsulation method might be the best deep cleaning solution for your upholstered furniture and to help you get rid of allergens

Mattresses

Start sleeping better at night.  Mattresses can also harbor dust mites and allergens.  Combat them by having your mattresses deep cleaned and specially treated to protect against dust mites.  Ask our technicians how we treat mattresses to keep the allergens away!

Complete Care Systems Now Offers Hot Water Extraction Carpet Cleaning!

CCS Wednesday 8 10 16 Canva (1)This month was an exciting month for Complete Care Systems as we welcomed a NEW and exciting service to our business.  Effective during the month of August 2016, Complete Care Systems now offers hot water extraction carpet cleaning.

Let’s face it, carpets can take a beating.  Regardless of whether the carpeting is in your home or business, it can come in contact with soils, dirt, stains, dust mites, bacteria, pet dander, grease and the list goes on.

Great news!  Complete Care Systems can power out all the dirt and grime!  AND…we have more than one way to do it!

Our Methods:

Low Moisture Encapsulation Cleaning:

This method of cleaning uses low moisture.  So low that each gallon of diluted detergent can clean about 300 square feet of carpet.  That means, carpet dries quickly!  In just a couple of hours.

This method of cleaning includes a scrubbing step where a rotary machine scrubs the carpet releasing any soils attached to the carpet fiber and deposits it into the encapsulation solution.  The encapsulation solution is comprised of a crystalizing polymer that “encapsulates” the soil.  After the carpet dries, the encapsulated soil can be extracted during the vacuuming process.

Benefits:

  • Fast cleaning rates of 2,000 to 3,000 square feet per hour can be accomplished
  • Carpet dries quickly
  • Wicking and recurring stains can be eliminated
  • Carpets stay cleaner over a longer period of time
  • Extends the life of the carpet
  • There is no sticky detergent residue that can attract soil is left behind
  • The encapsulation polymer detergent resists soil
  • Environmentally friendly

Hot Water Extraction Cleaning:
CCS Wednesday 8 17 16This method has the ability to flush a large amount of water through the carpet, making it a very effective way to rinse carpeting.

This type of carpet cleaning injects water through the carpeting using spray jets.  Immediately following the spray process, the water is effectively removed through vacuuming.  To make the process even more effective, a powerful spray detergent is applied first.  Add in some agitation and you have powerful cleansing system.  After the carpeting as been cleaned with detergent, the carpet is then rinsed by using hot water extraction.

Benefits:

  • The large volume of water used in hot water extraction makes it possible to remove a large amount of soil
  • Provides a deeper cleaning due to the water injection process it uses
  • The power of the water injection effectively removes debris, odor, soil and germs

In some instances it is suggested that carpet cleanings should alternate between hot water extraction and encapsulation carpet cleaning.  This type of protocol provides the most thorough cleaning process.  The encapsulation cleaning process removed the sticky detergent residue left behind by the hot water extraction process.

If you have questions about the best cleaning method for your carpeting, give us a call!  We would love to help you make your carpets look amazing and extend their life.  We also offer FREE estimates.  Call us today:  727-364-5158

Selecting Carpet Goes WAY Beyond Style

CCS 7 30 15 CANVA-2For the most part, when someone chooses carpeting, they select it based on how it will look in their home or the space that requires the carpeting.  But, there are other factors that should be taken into consideration when selecting carpet. Taking these factors into consideration when selecting carpet will help you select the right carpet for your lifestyle and assist in extending the length of your carpet.

If you are selecting carpeting for rooms in your home, you may want to consider the following:

  • How much traffic will the carpet endure?
  • What type of traffic?  Bare feet?  Work boots?  Slippers?
  • How much contact will the carpet have with the outdoors?
  • Will people remove footwear before stepping on the carpet?
  • How much direct sunlight will the carpeting be exposed to
  • What types of pets will have access to the carpet?
  • Is the room a formal room or casual?

Once you have determined the type of traffic your carpet will experience, you can then select the type of carpeting.  This is an important step as it will help you get the best performance out of your carpeting.

Check out this crash course on carpet types:

  • Cut Pile – very popular and and is durable due to the density of fibers and how twisted the yarn sections are
  • Textured Plush – popular to use as wall to wall carpeting in an entire home as it easily hides traffic prints.
  • Saxony – more popular in formal rooms like formal and living rooms
  • Frieze – very casual and forms a curly texture due to the twisted fibers. Hides footprints well
  • Plush – very dense – works well in low traffic areas and preferred in formal areas. Shows footprints easily
  • Loop Pile – fabric is constructed into loops creating a casual look – excellent in high traffic areas – Berber carpeting is a good example of this
  • Multi-Level Loop Pile – Casual looped fibers of varying heights creating a durable option in high traffic areas
  • Cut-loop pile – Combines both cut and looped yarns creating a very textured surface that includes patterns making soil and stains less visible

To keep your carpeting in top condition, here are some general rules when it comes to vacuuming your carpets:

•Vacuum daily in high-traffic or pet areas.

•Vacuum twice weekly in medium-traffic areas.

•Vacuum weekly in light-traffic areas, using attachments at carpet edges.

CCS 9 1 15 CANVATo extend the life of your carpeting, it is recommended to have them professionally cleaned every 6 months.  Not only will this result in clean, well maintained carpets, but it will remove allergens, dust mites, bacteria and viruses that live in carpets.  Not only will your carpets look amazing but they will keep your family healthier!

Our encapsulation cleaning technology not only deep cleans your carpets but it is done with low moisture allowing you walk on your freshly cleaned carpets almost immediately!
